Since our founding in 1955, our family-run operation has grown into a leading partner and supplier of food, beverage, and pharmaceutical processors. How It All Started
Our Story:
Our roots stretch back to the basement of Mervin Carver’s family home in Shawnee, Kansas, where he began selling dairy equipment across the Midwest. As his venture grew, Mervin began renting office space from The Williams Engineering Company, an ammonia refrigeration firm in Kansas City. The two quickly became partners, forming The Williams-Carver Co. Mervin would go on to purchase the company, in its entirety, in 1972, setting the stage for decades of steady growth.

Continuing Tradition
By the mid-1980s, Mervin had welcomed his three children (Gwen, Rich, & Brad) into the business, ensuring that the values of family ownership and hands-on service remained central to the company’s culture. Today, leadership continues under Mervin’s son (Brad) and grandson (Steve), ushering in the third generation of this family enterprise.
